Supportive Housing Units

During the past decade Supportive Housing has become a popular service that many clients take advantage of due to the options it offers.  Using a treatment approach where community support is the vehicle that is used to strengthen recovery skills, individuals elect to lengthen the amount of time in treatment.  Supportive Housing means direct contact with others by sharing households with others who are practicing some of the same basic recovery enhancements skills.  These gender-specific condominiums and townhouses are fully furnished and conveniently located near shopping, recreation, and cultural opportunities.

Supportive Housing units also provide a safe and drug-free home for those who lack permanent housing and need a supportive environment to sustain recovery and independence. Options of single rooms or one bedroom apartments are available if residents accept the house expectations and can pay their own food and transportation costs. Supportive Housing services have a significant impact on longterm housing stability.

Clients are twice as likely to be stably housed six months after leaving treatment as they were when they entered treatment.
