Intensive Residential and Detox Services

Social Setting Detox Services

Social Setting Detox at Phoenix Programs provides a safe place for individual to experience detoxification from alcohol and/or drug use. Specially trained staff at the detox center immediately begin to provide support and assistance in the critical hours of early recovery.

What is detox like? Some patients need sleep and light food and someone to talk to at 3 a.m. in the morning when they feel anxious.  Others may have a variety of medical symptoms that need to be monitored. All individuals receive individual attention and conditions are monitored 24-7. Some physical symptoms may indicate a need for more medical oversight, which will be addressed by staff as needed following a detox protocol.

When is detox open? Clients may receive admission to detox 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Currently detox and residential services are available for men only.

Residential Treatment Services

What is residential treatment? The residential treatment program offers 50 hours of weekly activities which include group counseling, education, therapeutic recreation, and individual sessions with a professional counselor. Residents choose between a private room and shared suites of four-to-a-room in a positive climate that gives each individual an opportunity to adjust to a way of living that is focused on strengthening recovery to increase self-sufficiency.

How long is residential treatment? Residential length of stay varies greatly.  Individuals may agree to a week-long episode of residential treatment following a sudden relapse.  Other patients new to recovery may choose three to four weeks of intensive attention while they adjust to a chemical-free lifestyle.  Our agency has a history of providing men-only residential treatment, and our new facility was designed to continue this tradition.
