Phillip House
COLUMBIA’S NEWEST SOLUTION FOR HOMELESSNESS
Phoenix Programs, Inc. in conjunction with our At Home Program has partnered with Mark Stevenson, owner of Real Estate Management, Inc. (REMI) to open a recovery rental property. The project will provide low income housing and a positive living environment for individuals that have had numerous episodes of homelessness, substance abuse issues and mental health issues.
Read about the Phillip House in the Columbia Daily Tribune and the Columbia Missourian.
Phillip was an individual with a good heart and a brilliant mind who suffered from the disease of addiction and undiagnosed mental illness. Phillip was a family man, a businessman, landlord and an influential leader in his community. During periods of active addiction and untreated mental illness, he became disenfranchised from his family and community. Phillip’s inability to find and maintain stable and proper housing contributed to his unmanaged mental illness, addiction and later his death.
It is the mission of Phillip House to provide permanent and stable housing to promote empowerment, connectedness and self-sufficiency for individuals who have had similar life experiences.
