Celebrating New Freedoms
The freedom of recovery extends beyond recovering addicts to their family members, their friends, and the community; all of whom suffered the negative consequences of his/her her worsening addiction.
Through the recovery process, individuals and families regain what has been lost: their health, relationships with family and friends, dignity, housing and employment. Recovery heals the pain of the past, and creates new possibilities for the future.
By commemorating these stories, we will ensure that their contribution to the success of community based addiction treatment is never forgotten, and that they will be a voice of hope to those who come after them for many years to come.
